How do I get to Venice from the airport? It’s one of the main questions we answer every day. Below we list the solutions available so you can choose the one that best suits your needs.
If you arrive from Marco Polo International Airport you have several solutions:
PRIVATE WATER TAXI: on arrival at the airport you can easily book a private water taxi to the Residenza. If you prefer to organize your trip carefully, you can easily book your private (water) taxi here. Remember that the nearest point where the taxi can arrive is Rialto. We are about 5 minutes walk
The private taxi is the fastest way, the price varies from 130,00 to 150,00 Euro (the price depends on the number of people, luggage, arrival time and where your accommodation is located). To reach the Residenza Bistrot de Venise the taxi takes about 40 - 45 minutes and the price is about 140,00 Euro. Remember that the nearest point where the taxi can arrive is Rialto. We are about 5 minutes walk away. Unfortunately we cannot book a taxi for you as the taxi driver will need accurate information about your flight.
ALILAGUNA (public vaporetto): From the airport you can use the public service of alilaguna vaporetti. The company provides a connection service from the airport to the city of Venice, Murano and Lido. To reach the Residenza Bistrot de Venise you can use the "Orange Line", the price is about 15.00 Euro per person and takes about 1 hour to get to the "Rialto" stop 5 minutes walk from us. You can buy tickets online here and view the timetable table. But be careful about the timetable! the orange line service is not 24 hours
if you prefer to reach Venice by land you can use the shuttle bus service provided by ACTV. At the exit of the airport you can take the Bus Nˈ5 which takes about 20 minutes to get to the terminal of Piazzale Roma in Venice. From Piazzale Roma you can easily reach your hotel by walking or using the Vaporetti. Here you can see the departure times of the Bus. Tickets can be purchased online here or at the Venezia Unica stand at the airport at a price of 10.00 Euro per person To reach us, if you do not have heavy suitcases then I recommend a nice walk, perfect to start getting used to the rhythms of the city. If you are travelling heavy, is better to use the vaporetto line 2 with direction "San Marco" (the direction is always written on the side of the vaporetto).
The nearest stop to the Residenza is the stop "Rialto" (the third stop from Piazzale Roma) which as mentioned above is about 5 minutes walk from us. The price of the vaporetto is Euro 9,50 (ticket 75 min). If during your stay in Venice you plan to use the vaporetto, remember that you can buy at a much more advantageous price than time tickets. If you arrive from Canova airport of Treviso.
You can easily reach the terminal of Venice - Piazzale Roma using the bus service provided by ATVO.
There is a shuttle bus every half hour that will connect you to Venice in 1 hour. The cost of the ticket is 12,00 Euro per person. You can check timetables and buy tickets here. Once you arrive at Piazzale Roma, follow the instructions above.
