La settima edizione di The Venice Glass Week ha ufficialmente preso il via e ha raggiunto, con i suoi colori e le sue opere, anche Mestre. Ogni anno, infatti, sotto una veste diversa, il festival internazionale del vetro porta i suoi colori e le sue forme anche nella terraferma. In questa settima edizione sarà infatti l'iniziativa 'Fiori in vetrina' ad impreziosire il centro di Mestre, una mostra diffusa inserita all'interno del ricco palinsesto proposto da The Venice Glass Week, dal titolo 'Perle in fiore in mosaici di colori', il cui filo conduttore riprende l’affascinante esplorazione del mondo delle perle veneziane.
Nello specifico, le vetrine di alcuni negozi del centro hanno esposto delle opere di maestria artigianale, sotto forma di composizioni floreali di vetro realizzate da diversi artisti e maestri, con l’obiettivo di far conoscere, valorizzare e rivitalizzare il vetro e le sue molteplici componenti artistiche e produttive.
In occasione della partenza ufficiale della mostra, avvenuta oggi, l’assessore alla Promozione del territorio, Paola Mar, e la dirigente Area Attività Museali della Fondazione Musei Civici, Chiara Squarcina, hanno ammirato le opere esposte in alcune delle vetrine dei 13 esercizi commerciali aderenti all'iniziativa.
